BLESSED MOTHER MARY
Beautiful and unique medal honoring our Blessed Mother Mary.
Mother of Jesus. Wife of St. Joseph. The greatest of all saints.
The Virgin Mother "was, after her Son, exalted by divine grace above all angels and men " (Dogmatic Constitution of the Church, Lumon Gentium, n.66).
Born in Jerusalem, Mary was the daughter of Sts. Joachim and Anne. It was the Archangel Gabriel, who appeared to her and announced that she would become the Mother of Jesus by the Holy Spirit. She was engaged to St. Joseph when she went to visit her cousin, Elizabeth, who was bearing St. John the Baptist. Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem, where Mary gave birth to Jesus. Soon after, the Holy family took refuge in Egypt to protect Jesus from King Herod. Mary was with Jesus when he performed his first miracle at the wedding of Cana. Mary was at the crucifixion in Jerusalem where she was given in John's care. After Jesus' Ascension, she was one of the first members of the Christian community. She lived in Ephesus until the end of her earthly life when she was taken to heaven, body and soul.
"The foundation of all our confidence...is found in the Blessed Virgin Mary. For God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is his will, that we obtain everything through Mary."

THE MOST HOLY ROSARY
OCTOBER IS DEDICATED TO THE MOST HOLY ROSARY.
CELEBRATE THE ROSARY AND HONOR OUR BLESSED MOTHER MARY BY PRAYING THE ROSARY.
"To be apostles of the Rosary...it is necessary to experience personally the beauty and depth of this prayer which is simple and accessible to everyone. It is first of all necessary to let the Blessed Virgin take one by the hand to contemplate the Face of Christ: a joyful, luminous, sorrowful and glorious Face. Those who, like Mary and with her, cherish and ponder the mysteries of Jesus assiduously, increasingly assimilate his sentiments and are conformed to him"

ST. JAMES
A Pilgrim's Prayer to St. James
O God, who brought your servant Abraham out of the land of the Chaldeans, protecting him in his wanderings, who guided the Hebrew people across the desert, we ask that you watch over us, your servants, as we walk in the love of your name to Santiago de Compostela.
Be for us our companion on the walk,
Our guide at the crossroads,
Our breath in our weariness,
Our protection in danger,
Our albergue on the Camino,
Our shade in the heat,
Our light in the darkness,
Our consolation in our discouragements,
And our strength in our intentions.
So that with your guidance we may arrive safe and sound at the end of the Road and enriched with grace and virtue we return safely to our homes filled with joy.
In the name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.
Apostle Santiago, pray for us.
Santa Maria, pray for us.

ST. MARY MAGDALEN
Unique medal honoring St. Mary Magdalen.
Mary Magdalen was a devoted follower of Christ. Filled with sorrow over her sin, she anointed Jesus' feet and repented. He turned to her and said, "Your faith has made you safe; go in peace." From that moment on, Mary humbly served Jesus and His Apostles. Mary witnessed Jesus' last moments with Mary, His Mother, and John. She stood my His Cross and anointed Him at the tomb. She discovered the empty tomb on Easter morning and was the first person to encounter the Risen. Christ chose to show Himself first to Mary Magdalen, the repentant sinner.
St. Mary Magdalen is the patroness of penitents, converts, perfumers and pharmacists. Her feast day is celebrated on July 22.
PRAYER TO MARY MAGDALEN
Saint Mary Magdalen,
woman of many sins, who by conversion
became the beloved of Jesus,
thank you for your witness
that Jesus forgives
through the miracle of love.
You, who already possess eternal happiness
in His glorious presence,
please intercede for me, so that some day
I may share in the same everlasting joy.
Amen.

ST. BENEDICT
Unique medal honoring St. Benedict.
Benedict was born in Nursia, Italy in 480. He was born into Roman nobility and was the twin brother of St. Scholastica. While studying in Rome he was disappointed by the corruption and temptations of the time. He withdrew from society and became a hermit in a cave near Subiaco and remained there for three years in the care of a monk named Romanus. He was known for his holiness, wisdom and miracles that spread far and wide. While in the cave, he was asked to be an abbot in a nearby community of monks. He accepted, but when the monks resisted his strict rule and tried to poison him, he left. In 530 Benedict began a great monastery at Mont Cassino, the birthplace of Western monasticism, asceticism, community life, and common sense. The spirit of St. Benedict's Rule is summed up in the motto of the Benedictine Confederation: pax ("peace") and the traditional ora et labor ("pray and work").
St Benedict is the patron against evil and the protector of Europe. His feast day is celebrated on July 11.
As we advance in the religious life and faith, we shall run the way of God's commandments with expanded hearts and unspeakable sweetness of love; so that never departing from His guidance and persevering in the monastery in His doctrine till death, we may by patience share in the sufferings of Christ, and be found worthy to be coheirs with Him of His kingdom.
